The Promenade of Wayzata is the recipient of Finance & Commerce Top Projects of 2018 Award. Projects are judged for their degree of difficulty, creativity in design, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among contractors and management, and sustainability efforts.
The Promenade converted an aging retail mall on a former swamp to a vital urban housing and retail mixed use development in downtown Wayzata. The project includes senior and assisted living facilities, condominiums, commercial and office space, and open space called The Great Lawn for community activities.
InSite Architects’ Folkestone at the Promenade project is the senior housing component. Three blocks of senior housing contain independent living, assisted living, memory care, care center and commons spaces as part of the development.
